Incoming!

My friend is creating a series of help guides for DoW2 for the 5 races and an overall general guide. The first guide, ‘The Black Tome of Knowledge’, should be uploaded by sometime next week. Also, I shall be making a series of simple ArmA2 guides, to help in the mission editor. The first guide, will show you how to make a simple helicopter insertion.

A look back…Crackdown

I ought this game a couple of weeks ago after seeing repeated good reviews of it again. It may be 3 years old, but it’s a brilliant game. Massive open environment, encompassing 3 large islands. The objective, remove these 21 gang boses. How you do it, any way you want. It even created it’s own sub-genre, with games such as prototype being born from it and it has even aqcuired a sequel, which will be released on 09/07/2010. If you haven’t bought it already, I strongly recommend you do, it is a must buy!

Upcoming Releases – XBOX 360

2 new games that I’m on about here.
Firstly, Reach, looks amazing new AI, graphics gameplay, any one that played the Beta will understand. Due for release on 24/09/2010, @ anything from £40 – £99.
Second, Warhammer 40k space marine a totally new and original rpg comes out 11/03/2011 @ £40.

Review: Command and Conquer 4: Tiberian Twilight

First things first, it is a major change to the staandard c and c gameplay. Instead of having an mcv and building your base around it, you start of with an MCV Mk VII or crawler(which is a bit of a fail as the support ‘crawler’ hovers around the battle field.) Anyway as you level up you unlock new units, buildings and support powers, which can thn be used on online play, skirmish and campagin(This is another fail, but i’ll come back to that later). The graphcs are amazing, the medium setting bing equivilant to the highest settings on c and c 3. Ican run medium settings in my machine with no lag at all;

Anyway back to the game.

It has several major failings. First, if like me you have an absolutly appauling internet connection, then this game will immediatly start to piss you off. First, if you are not connected to the internet you can’t even play the game, then if your internet cuts out mid mission, sometimes its just your connection to the EA server, then you will not gain any xp for completing a mission, even if you save, reconnect and finish the mission online. Secondly, when you first start the game you cannot win skirmishes and online battles and you won’t be able to gain new units if the above problem affects you.

If you get it working though, its a hell og a good game, I’d recommend you buy it fom play.com as i got mine for £27 new.
